Yesterday on his birthday, husband signed a contract to work in a lab in Australia. Our immigration papers are in process and if everything goes well, we will be moving early next year.

Australia will be my 6th country of residence (after Indonesia, Holland, Syria, USA and Germany), husband's 8th (France, Madagaskar, Djibouti, Bukina Faso, Holland, USA, and Germany), Joseph's 4th (Holland, USA,  and Germany) and Louise's 3rd (USA and Germany).  Husband and I grew up here and there and now raise our kids between continents ... how will our kids, who are products of a nomadic multinational, multiracial and multilingual family, raise theirs? *shrug*

On the moving day, we will be leaving freezing Germany for a summer Australia, how exciting ... (and weird).

More updates will come.

Joseph's school back pack bought in summer.
Was Joseph's choice actually a sign? hehehe

I think if there were more nomadic multinational, multiracial and multilingual families the world would be a much more peaceful place than it is now with all the national, racial pride and religious superiority feelings going on.

This move once again: How exciting for you! :)

Oh... what a nice thought, Lutos. Too bad such world peace might only happen in heaven.

Thank you!

Multicultural family. Very nice indeed. Very far from being narrowminded which is like an epidemic lately *rolled eyes*
Perhaps Joseph has a sixth sense?

Hehehe it was just a random pick from Joseph when I directed him to pick the 'nicest' one (read: the cheapest).

Jd lebih deket ke Indo ya, San :) Dan balik lagi ke bhs Inggris dgn dialek yg berbeda. It's very interesting ngikutin journey elo keliling dunia, terutama ngikutin gimana anak2 elo adjust ke lingkungan yg baru.
Now I trully understand why you both stick to your mother's tounges when you speak to your children. At least they can feel secure knowing something won't change, where ever they are :)

Wow! Fast moving forward. Double congratulations: on the birthday of your husband and on the new horizons also.

(Okay, I'm sad also. Even before we've had the opportunity to meet face to face, you will be down under).

Maybe Joseph's choice was actually a choice. Kids do that sometimes.

Yeah, I was just kidding, Ssafira. Joseph picked that on up because I strongly suggested him to choose the 'good one' (read: the cheap one) hehehe.

Thanks!

That's what a full life really means, you get to see the world, live all over the world, raise your kids and live your life in an exciting way. I wish I could have a relocation once in two years, I'd love the experience.

I personally have embraced the new technologies, I think the new tools only make the web designs better. I am glad that new technologies are coming out in web design that make things easier, improved, and better looking for design.
